The reason for this Blog is simple, it is to introduce my readers to the job of the smoothie.

I have developed a passion for smoothies since visiting health conscious friends in California some five years ago: they are a great way to start the day, to have a break during the day, and a great way to unwind after a hard days work.

The summer fruits smoothies are typically made from are packed full of vitamin C and antioxidants, great protection against free radicals, as well as providing fibre and upping your daily fruit intake to the recommended five portions – but I’d better stop here this is not a health blog

Magazines and recipe books will tell you that the best smoothies are made from fresh in-season fruit. But I have to be honest and say that coming from Ireland where we have a relatively short summer season, I find that good quality frozen fruit is just as tasty. I’ll leave others to argue over the difference in health benefits.

I’ve got to the stage now where I’m not afraid to experiment with my smoothies, it is really a matter of trying to balance tart and sweet fruit, plus fibre-rich bananas, mangoes and pineapple with watery fruit like strawberries, kiwi fruit and oranges. Add yoghurt for creaminess and calcium. If it is a really hot day, or you just fancy something really cool try ice cubes for extra chill, but only if your blender has strong enough blades; otherwise try and get your hands on some crushed ice.

I have a real treat in store for you. Over the next four days I’m going to give you my eight favourite recipes (that’s two a day). Here is what you are going to get.

Tip #1:

This is the most important: Do A Warm Up Prior To The First Tee. It is that important of a tip that I’m going to put it into capitals and bold it
DO A WARM UP PRIOR TO THE FIRST TEE

Why? Well answer me this, how many professional athletes do you know who just walk out into their chosen arena; golf, football, skating, whatever and just start. NONE – point made!

Here is a very simple warm up exercise you could use do some arm circles, toe touches, squats with your club, and standing twists holding the club out in front of you chest high. It doesn’t have to be high tech stuff just enough to get you mentally and physically prepared for the battle ahead.

Tip #2

I find that stretching on the course is vital it keeps your body nice and loose to make that FULL backswing. Get a good full backswing and you will generate high clubhead speed and consistently LONG drives. Here is one stretch I recommend you do at EACH hole.

Get in your golf posture, with your arms hanging naturally in front of you. For a right-handed golfer, you would take your right hand underneath your left, so the back of both hands are touching each other.

Gently apply pressure from the back of your right hand against your left and pull your upper body all the way in your backswing and hold. Hold it, count to 15 and then do the whole thing over again. It takes less that one minute and it will greatly help you.

Tip #3

Now here is one to do ‘off course,’ in the privacy of your own home, and you don’t need that much equipment and it is aimed at improving your core strength and rotational speed.

Here we go I’m going to call this one The Seated Twist. You will need a five or 8 pound dumbbell.

Ready? OK sit on the ground, grab the dumbbell with both hands and hold it out in front of you.

Now lean back putting tension on the abs. Your legs will be bent at a 90 degree angle in the knee, and together.

Start rotating side to side, only with your upper body. Try keeping your lower body as stable as possible.

To get the full benefit out of this exercise do 3 sets of 20 repetitions. Again, this is just ONE exercise of many that will strengthen your rotational muscles of your core.

If you’ve been looking at internet marketing or affiliating marketing for any time you are almost bound to have come across The Rich Jerk.

The Rich Jerk sells himself on being a jerk! You will see reviews about him all over the internet, however, are any of the tips in his ebook of any use to internet and affiliate marketers? I hope to get to the bottom of that very important question via this review.

The Rich Jerk caught the attention of marketers worldwide not so much because of his skill but because of his arrogance and his attitude. His has an in your face philosophy which basically says I'm rich, you're not, who cares about you!

But don’t laugh at the man for this type of approach because it is based upon a sound marketing ploy called, believe it or not, anti-marketing or negative marketing. His launch campaign is probably one of the most effective seen on the internet for a long, long time. But what about his product?

I’m recommending you NOT to buy his guide, I have read it and it does contain some not so well known techniques and tactics for earning money online, but is it worth the money – I personally doubt it. Though to be objective it does probably depend where you are in the world of internet marketing or affiliate marketing at this point in time.

I've found recently that more and more ebooks seem to be targeted to the newbie marketers rather than revealing advanced strategies for seasoned internet marketers. However, one advantage that The Rich Jerk does have over the vast majority of other authors is that he does encourage you to think outside the box – to a large extent that is what anit-marketing is all about. However, while the world of internet marketing and affiliate marketing is still wide open surfers are becoming more and more aware of marketing ploys like The Rich Jerk!

A popular and true saying is that: ‘imitation is the best form of flattery,’ and an awful lot of people have and are copying The Rich Jerk tactics. They are been copied to such an extent that the techniques are no longer unusual but more the norm. That’s another reason why I say avoid this book, the shock tactics are no longer shock tactics.

The Rich Jerk has demonstrated how you can launch and promote a product in a certain way. However, does the way he build make for a reputable brand? Would the name calling and insults encourage you to stay loyal to him? Is he building an ongoing relationship with visitors and consumers? I don't know, I haven’t travelled down that road with him.

The Rich Jerk techniques are easy to duplicate and you can get started with them right away. However, I have read much more formative affiliate marketing guides than this one and I have seen better products at a lesser price, particularly for people new to affiliate marketing. And speaking personally I just don’t like his style of operation.

More than 9,000 children embraced each other in a long row for longer than a minute in Monterrey Thursday to celebrate Valentine's Day and set a new Guinness World Records mass hug mark, a local mayor said.

"More than breaking a record, it's a matter of showing affection on this February 14, the day of love and friendship," said Cristina Diaz, mayor of Monterrey's Guadalupe suburb.

"Guinness record authorities are here with us to certify that in all there were 9,402 children locked in the biggest hug in the world," she added.

The event took place in the city's Tolteca Park, where the children in a massive, snaking hug beat out the previous "biggest hug" record set by more than 6,000 children in northern Chihuahua state.

"We paid 300 (British) pounds ($590) to register with the Guinness World Records, and with this hug we want to promote love, friendship and solidarity. That's the most important thing," said Diaz, as the kids celebrated by tossing their coats in the air.

Meanwhile love temporarily replaced political brinksmanship on the Senate floor.

After the opening prayer and pledge of allegiance, Benjamin Cummings proposed marriage, via a resolution, to Kaylynn Newhall, who interns for Sen. Lyle Hillyard, R-Logan.

Yes, yes! was her response - after recovering from the complete surprise of it all.

"He got himself put on the Senate calendar and wrote the resolution," Newhall said in a noon interview. "I just love him - he's so creative."

Hillyard had been in on the secret and confessed he thought she might hit him at first, or cry. The event has been posted on YouTube.

At noon, also in Senate chambers, Senate President John Valentine, R-Orem, performed a wedding ceremony for James Petersen and Chanta Quiterio, constituents of Sen. Mike Dmitrich, with Dmitrich and Sen. Gene Davis as witnesses.

"I never imagined a Senate wedding," said Quiterio. "We just kind of winged it."

The beaming couple left the Capitol to enjoy a nice lunch downtown and then return home to their combined family of four children!

This is the second on a series of short reviews I am carrying out on Internet Marketing e-books.

Google Money Pro is an ebook, 120 pages in all, and it has just been updated. The content of the ebook is embedded with videos and flash presentations. This makes it much different and much more informative than a lot of other similar ebooks.

When I first looked at GoogleMoneyPro I didn’t recognize the authors name, Steven Holdaway. That’s probably because Steven is not an internet marketer in the sense that my other two e-book authors are. Steven is what is called a Pay Per Click expert and is one of only 750 people to be certified by Google as an AdWords Professional.

The fact that Steven is not a professional marketer comes across in his writings where unlike other ebook authors he doesn’t continuously draw castles in the air – he is very matter of fact. I have to be honest while all his information is spot on and up to the moment, I did have to get up and make an extra few coffees while reading his book!!

GoogleMoneyPro is written with beginners to IM in mind. Those on an intermediate level will also grain lots of knowledge from Steven. I found that while I knew a lot of the stuff Steven was writing about he taught me how to join it together and I found the odd little gem that just filled in a missing space for me. Would someone who is making a good monthly income online gain from the book, I don’t know. My attitude to ebooks is that if you can pick up five bits of information you didn’t know previously then the book will more than pay for itself. GoogleMoneyPro has returned me many times over my initial investment.

One of the benefits of buying the book is that you are given access to Stevens own Forum where he will answer any question on PPC, AdWords, and internet marketing in general normally within 24 hours. I picked up a piece of advice from him ten days back that has saved me about two days solid work, that in itself was enough to pay for the book!

As I’ve said above the book focus on the beginner and illustrates everything right from the word go.

Advantages:

1.Step by Step illustration keeping beginners in mind.

2.Videos and Flash Presentations.

3.Excellent examples are used for demonstration.

4.Explains some core features of Google AdWords. (Even I am also new to those features)

5.No frills and hype.

Disadvantages:

1.Too lengthy and not a great writing style – my intake of coffee doubled.

2.Poor Presentation. The graphics should have been better.

3.Deals only with AdWords.

4.I think the book is a bit on the pricy side

Conclusion:

'Google Money Pro ' is definitely a good guide to start with. Though there are many E-Books that are focused on AdWords, it has a very different approach. But, 'GoogleMoneyPro' is based only on AdWords. If the author had covered other aspects of Internet Marketing and dropped his price a little, then 'GoogleMoneyPro' would have been my number one recommendation as of now it is a very good second.

Anyway ' Google Money Pro' a sure buy for many aspiring Internet Marketers.

The Internet is brimming with books that promise to teach you how to make money online. Many claim to offer top notch money making opportunities and residual income for years to come so you can sit on a beach somewhere sipping Mai Tais. It doesn’t always work out like that, but with an eBook like Holly Mann’s Honest Riches you can actually start down that road.

The St. Valentine Story

So you want to know my story, Yes? OK first off my name is Valentine, and if you lived in Rome in the third century during the time that Claudius was Emperor we might have met especially if you didn’t like the Emperor and believe me there were a lot of people who didn’t like him!

If you know anything about Roman Emperors then you’ll know that they all wanted to have a bigger and better army that the guy before them and Claudius was no exception and he wanted them all to volunteer. You can’t really have a full volunteer army especially if you are continuously fighting wars, a lot of men just wanted to stay at home with their wives and families.

Claudius was disappointed because there wasn’t many fit men who volunteered and this made him furious! But he had an idea, Claudius was always having ideas. It was his opinion that if men were not married, they would not mind joining the army. So Claudius decided not to allow any more marriages. Well you can guess what young people thought of that idea! I thought it was preposterous! I certainly wasn't going to support that law!

Now my calling in life is that of a priest and one of best parts of a priests life is getting to marry two young people deeply in love. So even after Emperor Claudius passed his law, I kept on performing marriage ceremonies -- secretly, of course. It was really quite exciting. Imagine a small candlelit room with only the bride and groom and myself. We would whisper the words of the ceremony, listening all the while for the steps of soldiers. I don’t want to take all the credit many of my fellow priests also held secret ceremonies.

But my look ran out and one night while performing a service I was raided! Thank goodness the couple I was marrying escaped in time. I just couldn’t hot foot it as quickly as I use to! I was thrown in jail and told that my punishment was death.

I tried to stay cheerful. And do you know what? Wonderful things happened. Many young people came to the jail to visit me. They threw flowers and notes up to my window. They wanted me to know that they, too, believed in love. I bet this made Claudius even madder!

One of my young vistors was the daughter of the prison guard. Her father allowed her to visit me in the cell. Sometimes we would sit and talk for hours. She helped me to keep my spirits up. She agreed that I did the right thing by ignoring the Emperor and going ahead with the secret marriages. On the day I was to die, I left my friend a little note thanking her for her friendship and loyalty. I signed it, "Love from your Valentine."

And what you now do on Valentine’s Day all started from that little thank you note, a note written on the day I died February 14, 269. It makes me happy that every year there is a special day for the young, and the not so young, to say ‘I Love You.’ And when they think of Emperor Claudius, they remember how he tried to stand in the way of love, and they laugh -- because they know that love can't be beaten!

Mixing Breast-feeding and Bottle Feedings

The current thinking is that a mixture of bottle and breast in feedings could potentially lead to sleeping problems.

There appear to be several different reasons for this.. The breast is pretty muched tuned into the mother’s brain and with each feeding, the breast sends a signal to the brain that more milk needs to be produced for the next feed. Introduce a bottle and you run the risk of interfering with the process. The signal is not been sent so the breast produces less milk. Also, during the times when you do breast-feed your baby will not get as full with the breast-feeding because of the lessening of milk supply.

The result is that your baby will require fed more frequently which will mean that their sleep patterns will be interrupted by the need for feeding.

If you feed your child until it goes to sleep then you may be setting up problems with their sleep pattern. What happens is your baby begins to recognize that it is fed at bedtime. This will become something baby depend on and expect. Normally, this will be the situation with each waking throughout the night as well.

The most important tip is to change the time or the amount of time you feed your baby when nearing his or her bedtime. Doing so will gradually remove the association of bedtime with feeding.

Another technique is to feed your child earlier in the evening instead of as a bedtime routine. When you do these things your baby will not associate feeding with bedtime. This will help your baby to learn to fall asleep on his or her own accord.

What are YOU eating and can it affect your baby’s sleeping pattern?

Think of it this way Mum, if you are breast-feeding then EVERYTHING that you drink or eat will affect your breast milk. If you do not eat the correct amount of foods and calories per day, your breast milk is greatly affected. It is important that you eat the recommended three meals daily and maybe a few snacks in between. Your milk needs to have adequate calories in it in order for your baby to feel nicely full and satisfied. If it does not, he or she will continue to feed longer until full.

You need to eat healthier foods and eat them more regularly, as well as having plenty to drink throughout the day. This will help your milk supply, thus helping your baby and his or her sleep patterns. It makes sense that the more satisfied your baby is the better he or she will sleep!

I know, at first I didn’t believe this either. That was until I saw the proof on his webpage. He had one screenshot of his Google Account and in 14 days his ads were shown to over 38 million people and he had nearly 300,000 people visit his website! Get this, his average cost per click was only $0.08! I’m paying nearly twice that and I’m no where near 1% of the traffic he’s receiving.

Well, as I was reading his website, I saw that you could email him and the website says the he personally answers all the emails himself. So I decided to ask him about Google’s new advertising policy and how it affected his campaigns. I didn’t get too excited about it because I knew he wouldn’t reply, but I checked my email later that night and he had personally replied to my email. He told me that the advertising techniques contained in Google Money Pro were so advanced and precise that the new policy change doesn’t even affect it. Apparently this guy had solved the problem before it even affected the rest of us!

Anyway, this guy wrote a book on mastering Google AdWords, called “Google Money Pro”. I bought it and read it and I was amazed at the material in it and how clear and easy to follow it was. It even had screenshots showing you what to do. It’s so easy to understand that he basically takes you by the hand and shows you everything. The reason true romance is nearly dead in this generation is that people have forgotten the difference between love and romance.
